Fun in the Sun

Our Florida Trip began with a 5:15 wake up for poor Britta. She was in such a daze riding to the airport in a taxi!

But as soon as she got her pigtails in, she was revived! So much so that she nearly strangled her baby doll! Look at the craziness in here eyes! Ha!

Passing the time in the airplane. The first run with headphones didn't last very long (long enough for a couple of pictures!)

And all the wildness on the airplane promptly turned into exhaustion when she got into the car. She was wiped!

Our first evening there- Ben was transformed into a dwarf "Grumpy" the trucker!

And Britta was turned into a princess :)

Day 2 at the pool was mostly a success, although the fountain made her really tentative. She walked through EVERY time with her hands like this... ha

She can count! I had no idea she could do this. And I heard her saying it softly to herself in the bathtub.... After a littel convincing, she did it again! 3 more times! She skips the number 4 every time. Ha! We'll have to work on that one.... I tried to make the video as "modest" as possible since of course she is in the tub! :)

This might just be my favorite video. When I was asking her these questions, I had NO IDEA she would know all of the answers.... I couldn't believe it!! "Move on Back" is my favorite" because she does the head movement of the driver when he says it....

This is a daily occurance... 1980's are coming back!!  

I will spare you the details, but this picture was taken moments after her first time going #2 on the potty chair! She got a girl scout cookie- YUM!! The whole experience was a bit traumatic for her- she  was bawling her eyes out saying "Did it.... Did it Mama!"

V-Day Baby

We had a happy Valentine's Day, celebrating at a party with friends and dinner out a Jason's Deli.... Missed Daddy though while he was gone....  A few pics from our day!

We made a special Valentine for Daddy and other crafts too....Then we ate lots of heart shaped foods and treats! What a great party!

Opening her card and her special money from Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt... I told that we had to be careful with money and she carried it around so gently between her pointer and her thumb, like it was fragile!

Dinner at Jason's Deli with Grandma and Grandpa Leafblad... What a great place to eat!
